Torre Guaceto is located halfway between the municipalities of Brindisi and Carovigno (also known as the protected marine area of ​​the Torre Guaceto Nature Reserve), occupies a piece of territory on the Brindisi coast and is one of the most beautiful places to spend a day at the beach between the wonders of the Mediterranean scrub, the dunes and the cliffs.

Torre Guaceto is a Nature Reserve that extends for 8 kilometers of coastline and occupies 3000 hectares of the territory of Ostuni in the province of Brindisi. The Torre Guaceto Nature Reserve is very rich in the typical flora and fauna of the Apulian Mediterranean scrub, with coastal dunes that embrace the ancient defense buildings up to lapping the cliffs and beaches bathed in a crystalline sea. The marine protected area extends over a coastal strip of about 8 kilometers up to about 50 meters of sea depth and is protected through a division into three zones that have different levels of protection.

How is the sea in Torre Guaceto?

The sea of ​​Torre Guaceto is a real natural paradise.

You will find various landscapes, some sandy areas and some rocky ones.

There is also a wetland where birds and amphibians live.

More precisely, the nature reserve is divided into three zones, with different regulations to preserve the marine reserve.

Two areas are partially protected and one fully protected. In the latter case, you will not be able to swim, because the environment must be preserved.

In zones B and C you can enjoy the beauty of the sea on beaches equipped with umbrellas and sunbeds.

These beaches also offer services to people with mobility difficulties, thanks to long walkways that facilitate access by wheelchair.

Where to park to go to Torre Guaceto?

Once you arrive in the Serranova area, you will find a large parking lot where you can leave your car. From here a shuttle - train will take you to Torre Guaceto beach.

The shuttle will drop you off at one of the first beaches. You can stop at this first beach, or you can reach other beaches following the shore.

If you want to find the true natural paradise, we recommend that you walk a little way along the water's edge.

Once the shuttle leaves you at the first useful beach, walking a bit will bring you to several less crowded basins.

Walking for half an hour you will also arrive at the famous Tower.

If you like cycling, you can reach the Torre Guaceto reserve from the internal road.

A path not accessible to means of transport, which will lead you to the coastal tower.

From here you can cycle through the various internal paths immersed in nature, and immediately arrive at the beaches.
