Christmas markets in Bari: the dates

The Christmas markets in Bari will take place from 6 December to 26 December . You can visit the Christmas markets from 10.00 to 22.30; only for 23 December the Christmas markets in Bari will be open until 24:00.

Christmas in Bari will be inaugurated on 6 December , the day of St. Nicholas, patron saint of Bari. The large 14-meter tree will be lit in Piazza del Ferrarese. There will be a lighting show every evening from 8 December until 26 December , Boxing Day.

In addition to the Christmas markets in Bari you will find many other initiatives: a garden of lights in Piazza del Ferrara; an illuminated tree 14 meters high; a stage that will host the various events for the entire Christmas period , music and light shows.

Christmas : Santa Claus Village in Bari

In Piazza Umberto, Wednesday 8 December , there will be the inauguration of the Santa Claus Village. You can visit Santa Claus village every day from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 am. Children will have the opportunity to meet Santa until January 6, . Every day inside the Santa Claus Village will be organized readings for children, theater shows, film screenings and much more.

On December 10, at 5:00 pm, the special guest will be Giovanni Muciaccia, presenter of Art Attack. Giovanni Muciaccia will hold a small show in which he will explain one of his attacks of his art of him. Where to find the Christmas markets in Bari

This year the Christmas markets will be set up on the "Muraglia". It will be wonderful to breathe the Christmas air while walking through the various markets and admiring the sea landscape.

In particular, you will find 20 Christmas houses between Piazza del Ferrarese and Fortino di Sant’Antonio. Moving towards Piazza Mercantile you will find 10 other houses. Five houses are reserved for non-profit associations.

In the Christmas markets in Bari you will find many works of local craftsmanship, toys and many objects that you can buy, give or keep as a souvenir.

Art objects and works by local artisans will be exhibited, you can buy Christmas decorations, candles, nativity scenes, accessories, Apulian products and much more.

The stands will be used by artisans (including in the food sector), by direct growers of organic products or typical products, but also by voluntary and charitable associations.

The stalls of typical local food will be many and you will walk among the smells of roasted chestnuts, pettole and sgagliozze (typical Bari fried polenta).

Urban Christmas forest in Piazza del Ferrarese - Bari

An urban forest will be set up in Piazza del Ferrarese. Here you will find fir trees up to three meters high and other bushes illuminated by white lights. You will find a path inside the garden that will end at the large Christmas tree. Video projections and music are also provided.

Event in Bari : The skating of Santas

The Santa Claus skating will take place on Sunday 19 December at 11:30 am. The tour will start from the "Pane e Pomodoro" beach and will last about 90 minutes. At the end of the tour, for those who want, we all stay together to eat something.

New Year's Eve / in Bari

This year in Bari, on New Year's Eve, there will be the great New Year's congerto at the Petruzzelli theater.
